Under federal law, any material containing more than 1% asbestos is regulated as asbestos-containing — and a thorough inspection is required before renovation or demolition of virtually any commercial, institutional, or industrial building.
Asbestos has never been fully banned in the United States, and building materials are sourced globally. You cannot assume a material is asbestos-free based on a building's age. The only way to know is a certified survey — which is exactly what we provide.
